The Roach Family

It is such an enormous compliment when a friend asks you to capture their family.  The Roach Family lives next door to our old (as in last month old) home.  Our oldest boys are both Gavin (very rare) and are pretty much besties.  My Gavin told me the other day how much he misses "Roach."  I realized then how quickly bonds are made and how important friends are... even at an early age.  Jacque and I were both pregnant within months of one another with our second babies.  Alec just turned one last week :).  So we paced the cul-de-sac together comparing weight gains, sleeping sob stories and of course how we couldn't wait to have these babies! They are good friends and if St. Louis is indeed my permanent home, I will try and talk them into being neighbors again someday :) 

This session was a SCORCHER.  Our first attempt at a shoot was foiled by heavy rains and everyone looking like drowned rats.  So they came over for a visit.   The kids played on the deck in our oasis of blowup pools and I took some crazy adorable pics of Alec... check him out in the first collage... I know blue eyes and curls, CANNOT be any cuter!  Our second session was brutally hot but you would never know from how great they did.  One of my favorites for sure!
